Amherst County Habitat for Humanity exists to serve those in need of safe, decent, affordable housing. Tax Credits – Amherst County Habitat for Humanity has Virginia State Tax Credits currently available through the Neighborhood Assistance Program. These funds renew annually on July 1st and are available on a first come first serve basis. Donation qualifications and minimums vary depending on individual, corporate, monetary, goods or services, etc. Contact our office for more information and discuss the benefits with your tax advisor.
Online Donations – Secure online donations are accepted through PayPal either through your PayPal account or by using your credit card. A donation button is located below. After clicking the button you will be asked for a donation amount and to select either PayPal or Credit/Debit donation. There is a drop down menu to select one of the fund raisers mentioned above. After entering a donation amount and selecting your payment method, a second screen will ask if you would like to make your donation in Honor or Memory of someone. Please include a name and address on this page so that we may send an acknowledgement. Credit cards are also accepted in store using Square. PayPal and Square charge us a small processing fee.
By Check – If you prefer to send a check, simply mail your donation to Amherst County Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 1397, Amherst, VA 24521.
Gifts in Kind – Contributions of new construction materials, tools, and professional services help us keep the cost of house building as low as possible. For more information about current needs and how to make an In-Kind donation, please contact the office 434-946-9596.
Planned Gifts – You can partner with Habitat by remembering us in your will or by making another type of planned gift.
